Hi, I’m Penelope. So, first of all – welcome to my Pantry.
I’ve been blogging at the Pantry in one way, shape or form since 2007. My life has irrevocably and wonderfully changed since those days, and my son and husband are now the primary recipients of both our family favourite meals, and those more experimental dishes.
Harry has multiple food allergies – he’s allergic to Cow’s Milk Protein, soya, eggs and strawberries, so this blog now features lots of vegan cookery. The draft title was Vegan with a side of bacon!
This blog has always been my space to share my love of cooking and baking, to try out new ideas and to share old favourites. For me, cooking is the ultimate in relaxation, in nurturing both myself and others. I am never happier than when pottering in my kitchen making food for those I love. Unsurprisingly the time I have available to bake, and potter is much reduced these days, between nursery runs, energetic games of tag rugby in the garden, bible study and all the rest of the things that life blesses us with.
All of that said, I’m not a professional cook or baker, so please bear that in mind. I love what I do and cook and bake love into my dishes for those I love. Please do let me know if you have any questions, find any errors or have any feedback. I love to hear from readers – regardless of whether you’re a regular or have popped by after a Google search.
